New year, new book list. Welcome to our little travel book club. In 2023, we’ll be traveling everywhere from Uzbekistan to Somalia to The Andes. We’ll go on a New York City food tour, backpack Thailand in 90s, and see Hawaii through the eyes of a local.

This is a no-pressure book club. It has been since our inaugural pick. You can join at any time. You can skip any month. And if you don’t like the book, that’s okay too. Don’t feel like you have to finish it. I still love hearing your thoughts (so feel free to rant away)!

You can join Eden Travel Book Club any time. Whenever you sign up for our book club newsletter, you’ll get a printable discussion guide for our book club pick of the month sent straight to your inbox. You can also find our latest book club pick here!

You can skip any month. Life gets busy, I get it. And sometimes our book club pick might not be up your alley – no hard feelings.

I send our monthly discussion guides straight to your inbox through our Eden Travel Book Club newsletter. You can sign up here (it’s free to join).

I release discussion guides the first week of every month!

In each guide, you’ll find at least eight discussion questions with a travel tilt: four Getting Started questions and four Deeper Discussion questions (these are the questions we’re most known for). All our discussion questions are meant to give you a fun, intentional way to spend quality time with your friends, chat about travel, and read books together.

Our book club hosting kit is a series of printables designed to help you host an in-person book club meeting (think: a schedule planner, icebreaker questions, and an invite list). Organizing a book club can be a lot of coordinating, so this hosting toolkit is designed to (significantly) lower the effort it takes to plan an in-person book club meetup.

You don’t need to host a book club meeting. Some of our book club members use our monthly discussion guides as prompts for their reading journals. I recently spotted one of our members in a cafe with our monthly discussion guide, a notebook, and a latte (the vibes: 10/10). Solo reading time for the win.

  2. When I saw the photo, I knew that The Beach was going to be on this list. That’s one of my favorite books. Will pick up The White Mosque later. It sounds interesting.
