From face masks to serums, here are eight travel minis we’re gifting this season.
Travel minis are some of my favorite gifts to give the wanderers and daydreamers in my life. These compact, lightweight, vacation-ready products are just as easy to slip into a carry-on as they are to slip out of a stocking stuffer.
Here are eight of the travel minis I’m gifting this season (friends and family, spoilers ahead – you’ve been warned), from TSA-friendly (under 3.4 ounces) skincare sets to a tiny luggage charm that expands into a full-size purse. These minis aren’t essentials but little luxuries that layer memories onto in-transit moments so that you can make the most of your next weekend getaway.

8 Travel-Sized Minis We’re Gifting This Season

Summer Fridays
Jet Lag Essentials Set
This set includes four minis (all lighter than an ounce and fragrance-free): a jet lag cream (that doubles as a daily moisturizer and overnight mask), a hydration mist (my personal favorite), a pair of undereye patches, and a jelly-like facial serum. The products are smooth, refreshing after a dehydrating flight, and gentle on sensitive skin.

Aesop
Resurrection Rinse-Free Hand Wash
Aesop’s Resurrection Rinse-Free Hand Wash defaults to 500 ml, but it’s also available as a travel-size product: a 1.6-ounce (50 ml) bottle so glossy you can see the airport ceiling lights reflected in the bottle’s shoulders as you squeeze out a few alcohol-based drops onto your palms after contacting high-touch locations (escalator handrails, TSA-trays). The wash feels as thick as sanitizer and smells as bright as freshly peeled mandarin oranges.

R+co
DART Pomade Stick
This mini is one of my most-used beauty products while traveling. It’s a favorite for pressing down baby hairs and flyaways on the days when I need to look meeting (and camera) ready after deplaning. The pomade is lightweight and smooth and, to me, smells like vanilla (the scent is officially advertised as floral and fruity).

Paul Mitchell
Scalp Wellness Serum
Paul Mitchell’s (1.85 oz) botanical-based scalp serum is for those who hop between climates, who spend one weekend in an arid, desert landscape and another in a humid, coastal city. I first bought this mini on a whim at Ulta, and it’s been a part of my hotel shower routine ever since. Each drop is cool, hydrating, and locks in moisture.

Paul Mitchell
Shampoo And Conditioner Travel Mini Set
This set contains a travel-size shampoo and conditioner and moisturizer (all under 3 ounces). The shampoo and conditioner are the minis to note: two tingly, slick, nourishing products (with spa-like notes of tea tree) that never fail to refresh my natural curls. The mini shampoo lasts six washes, and the mini conditioner lasts three washes (for reference: I have long, thick, loosely S-shaped curls).

Biodance
Bio Collagen Real Deep Face Mask
Biodance’s 1.19-ounce Bio Collagen Real Deep Face Mask is most often seen as part of in-depth, in-flight, #traveltok skin care routines, but I recommend slipping it on in your hotel room after you’ve lugged in your suitcase, washed your face (and hands), and are ready to sink into bed and watch a movie with a cooling, fragrance-free face mask that leaves skin hydrated (and a little glossy).

Aesop
Ginger Flight Therapy
This tiny (0.3-ounce) vial, a punchy aromatherapy-inspired blend of seed and essential oils, is topped with a roll-on applicator. So, a light (and slightly runny) dab on the wrists before flight ascent and descent is all that’s needed to feel grounded by the initial hit of ginger and the clean, lingering scent of lavender.

Béis
The Expandable Crossbody Charm
Beis’ crossbody charm looks like a mini travel accessory that clasps onto a weekender bag. But as you expand it out, you’ll see the compact charm (almost magically) transform into a purse sturdy enough to hold your phone, AirPods, go-to makeup essentials, and (almost) all the mini travel beauty gift recs on this list (the Biodance face mask is the only exception).
