cute gifts for beach lovers
I’m a beach girl. My parents met at a beachside college. Their first dates were along a stretch of sand and waves. I was born, several years later, in a beach town. And a few months after that, my family and I moved to the Caribbean. More sand. More waves. More sun.
I’ve always felt like the beach has been part of my identity. So when someone asks, “mountains or beach?”, it’s a no-brainer for me. The beach wins, hands-down, everytime.
I’m also a third-culture-kid. And when we moved, for the third (or fourth) time, it was to a city in Virginia. Whilst the beach was still within our grasp, it was nowhere as close as the waters of my childhood.
So my mum dressed up our guest room in a cute coastal theme. That way, we could always step back home when we wanted to.
These gifts (most are under $20) are ones that remind me of the beach. They’re calm and cool-toned. And I hope they serve as gift ideas for the beach lover in your life.
Without further ado, here are fifteen cute gifts for beach lovers!

Gradient-washed blue tones. Sealife on display. There’s something calming about this aquatic coaster set. When you make a cup of coffee (or tea) each morning, you’ll be reminded of the ocean and the world that lies beneath. And for that reason alone, this is one of the best gifts for beach lovers. It’s also practical. The top is made from an absorbent ceramic (so no spillage) and underneath, you’ll find a circle of cork (this way, tables don’t get scratched). These Sea Life Ocean Coasters are durable and vibrant and stunning to boot.
This starfish and sand dollar tic-tac-toe board can easily be the pièce de résistance of any coffee table. The chips (which are a bit chalky) fit loosely in the 9-inch by 9-inch square. It’s a cute beach lover approved gift that doubles up as a collector’s edition board game set and breezy accent piece.
Most beach lovers know and understand the importance of quality sunscreen. Over the years, I have two brands that I’ve come to love: Beauty By The Earth and Sun Bum. Sun Bum’s packaging is a little chicer and thus makes for a better gift. It’s vegan and reef-friendly and paraben-free. It’s also non-comedogenic (which is a very fancy way of saying it doesn’t block pores). The smell is nice, as is the texture. And whilst I personally love Sun Bum, it’s definitely not for everybody (I have a darker skin tone and I know people with paler skin tones who say this product does nothing and lets them burn to crisp).
Once I started using Turkish beach towels, I couldn’t turn back. They’re strangely thin but still work as great gifts for frequent beachgoers. Turkish beach towels are multifunctional and play the part of a beach blanket, towel, and sarong (which saves so much packing space). And they look so classy! I still pack a mini microfiber square (for my hair) but these towels have been such a game-changer.
This sturdy lighthouse cork caddy is the epitome of cute and goes nicely in a wine cabinet or wine cellar. There’s a bit of room for a candle on top too. The colors, blue and white, add to the refreshing coastal theme. It’s one of the cutest gift ideas for beach lovers who also appreciate a cup of good wine!
For the illustrations alone, The Beachcomber’s Companion, a seashell-focused coffee table book, is one of the best gifts for beach lovers. The artwork is beyond stunning and the detailed descriptions make it the kind of guide you’ll want to bring with you to the beach (the hardcover edition is a bit on the smaller side compared to a traditional coffee table book so it’s definitely packable)!
As an avid journal collector, I can easily say this conch shell wood journal is one of the most unique journals I’ve ever seen. Inside, you’ll find blank pages (no lines or grids), which makes it a great sketchbook or commonplace book as well. The cover is intricate. It has this rich, artisan handmade quality that is absolutely one-of-a-kind.
It’s the little details – layered scales, a gold-colored handle – that make this soft blue mug a cute gift for beach girls. The cup is medium-sized and holds a good amount of hot coffee (the basis of any good mug). Fair warning, it’s not microwavable or dish-washable (definitely on the delicate side) but it is stylish enough for the extra effort (in my humble opinion).
With every breeze and tangle of air, these rose gold turtle chimes become a symbol of wind-swept shores. The harmony resounds from a chorus of seven turtles (one big turtle and six smaller ones). It’s a great backyard or patio addition for beach lovers.
Microfiber towels are a blessing for hair care. And this round microfiber beach towel is soft and absorbent. But it’s the photo-worthy and camera-ready pattern that makes it stand out the most. As a beach lover, trust me, you can never have too many towels (I have collected a whole closet full of them). And this one, in particular, is incredibly unique (it’s rare to find good towels in this shape).
It’s the subtlety of these Crosby Nautical Accent Table Lamps that make them one of the chicest gifts for beach lovers. The sailing scene is not explicit. Instead, the light turquoise, slightly transparent stand and rope-knotted wrap are nods to life at sea.
This floppy beach hat is the same size as a regular sun hat (small enough to fit nicely on your head and big enough for a bit of shade). Truth be told, it’s the slogan that makes it such a fun (and cheeky) gift for beach lovers – resting beach face. Enough said.
P.S. Brook + Bay, the company behind the hats, has more cute catchphrases under their belt – hello sunshine, out of office, do not disturb.
The print on this Boho Beach Party Dress is stunning! The fabric is nice and soft. And the shape is flattering. This is one of the best gifts for your beach-loving partner (it would also make for a really nice honeymoon gift). The colors are vibrant and the sleeveless-cut makes room for a showcase of beachy waves.
One of the best (and most practical) gifts for beach lovers is a good beach cover-up. This one (from Amazon, like 100% of this list) is breathable and looks nice styled overtop a bikini. The creamy off-white shade is versatile and the wrap’s curved hem falls at thigh-level.
This pastel-touched, gold-accented trio makes for the perfect beach-lover stocking-stuffer! Rosemarie Collection has designed a set of soft-hued, petite earrings (I’d suggest holding onto the gift box as they are so easy to lose) that come in select beach-themed shapes (starfish, sand dollar, shell). The studs feel high-quality. And the colors stand out.
